Do you want to be another Valais blacknose sheep in the Sacred Sheep flock this year? Join us in a MAL of the Bellwether Sweater by Caitlin Hunter of Boyland Knitworks. This is a series of classes designed to walk you through knitting the sweater. Designed in our Marona base and ōSHen Knits Bubbles DK boucle base, this sweater will be the cozy, plush, squishy sweater of your dreams. In this MAL, we will offer six sessions.
Session 1: Wednesday, August 12th: 6 - 8 pm
We’ll talk yarn choices, and cast on for a colorwork swatch to help you get familiarized with the technique and with the provided chart. You will leave comfortable and ready to cast on your collar. If you purchase yarn through this session, you will get 10% off your order.
Session 2: Saturday, August 29th, 10 am - 12 pm
We will begin working the yoke. In this session we will go over increases M1L, M1R, and short rows W&T.
Session 3: Saturday, September 12th, 10 am - 12 pm
Check In This check-in session will provide personalized support for trouble areas brought by students
Session 4: Saturday, September 26th, 10 am - 12 pm
Working your yoke chart, managing two colors, tension
Session 5: Sunday, October 11th, 10 am - 12 pm
Check In This check-in session will provide personalized support for trouble areas brought by students
Session 6: Saturday, October 24th, 10 am - 12 pm
Sleeves separation, which will include putting stitches on hold and the backwards loop cast on. In this pattern you will get to choose between two sleeve options, puffy or a cap. You will leave ready to knit away at these sleeves.

Materials (not included)
- Bellwether Sweater by Caitlin Hunter of Boyland Knitworks
- Size US 6 needle or size needle to obtain gauge
- Come explore yarn options and take 10% off of your Bellwether Sweater yarn, or with your DK yarn of choice. The pattern is made using our Marona as the main color.
Students must be comfortable knitting, purling and reading a chart
Instructors
Classes will be led by RD staff, Rachael or Stina, who some of you may know from our weekly Crafting Circle.
Cancellation Policy
Classes require a minimum of 3 students. An emailed notification of cancellation will be sent 2 days before the class if the minimum is not met. In the case of shop cancellation, all registered students will be refunded the class fee. Any additional fees including materials and the shipping of materials are non-refundable. Student cancellations, missed classes or no-shows can not be refunded, exchanged or transferred.
